Sidewinder was enjoying an enjoyable time at the Mad Scientist Academy when he had an epiphany: being a Mad Scientist and trying to take over the world is way more of a hassel then its worth. Between the endless schemes, misfired experiements (which can still be fun, to watch…from a distance…behind a shield preferably), and endless do-gooders trying to stop you, it just didn’t seem very worthwhile to continue in this career field. His acedemy roommate Pyro tried to keep him from loosing his motivation in their given field, exalting him with the grand schemes he wanted to enact upon graduation, hoping to ignite the evil mad blood in his veins. However this started a debate, after all giant solar ray guns need humongous focusing lens…just where did Pyro intend to get that or manufacture? Building a graviational deflector to pull in a meteor? Just where are you going to get the super-dense matter for the core? And Pyro’s most insane, and most likily to fail idea, an army of invisiable velociraptors? Just where was he gonna get extinct dinosaurs from? Then it hit Sidewinder: all Mad Scientists ,no matter what the sceme or experiement, need…super rare materials. And most would pay through the nose for said materials to move along their plans. So thus the seed was planted there with his room mate, and future customer, and a new career path opened for Sidewinder. Dropping out from the acedemy he ventured forth to offer his services to whomever could afford it.
